Ogden Stitchin with Sergers

In this class we will learn how to use our sergers and look at some of the many things that can be created on our serger. While we will be using Babylock sergers to create samples, most of the techniques can be done on any brand of serger. We will build a sample book of test stitch outs, experiment with different feet and types of threads while learning how to create things that go way beyond simply finishing seams. Some of the techniques being taught will allow you to create a simple project in class.  Decorative threads will also be provided for your use to create some of the samples.

Cost: $ 10.00
Price is per week, $10 kit fee
Date(s):
Skill Level:Beginner/Advanced Beginner
Requirements:This class is the next step after your serger owner’s class so you need to know how to thread your machine. We will do different thread configurations so you will get a lot of practice threading and unthreading your machine! Please bring basic sewing tools, serger tools and any different feet you have. Part of the kit will include special page protectors to hold your samples. You may want to bring a 8x11 three-ring binder for those pages.
