You will learn to choose the right size pattern and how to prepare it for fitting. Then we will tissue fit the pattern and make whatever adjustments are needed for your shape. You will learn the differences between fitting knit fabrics as opposed to woven fabrics and how to compensate. We will then cut out the adjusted pattern and fit the shirt in the fabric you bring. You will learn how to compensate for different types of knits to make each one flattering and comfortable. You will then learn the techniques for sewing a quality t-shirt. Lastly, we will discuss how to vary the hem, neckline, and sleeves for different looks. Sergers are great for sewing knits, but not necessary. Instructor is a Certified Palmer/Pletsch Fit Instructor.
