Tucker University 1-601 Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star Basic Construciton
On Saturday, October 9, 2021 Wimmer’s Sew & Vac will host a Studio 180 Design class which will feature the Liberty Lemoyne Stars technique sheet and the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. These accompanying Studio 180 Design class tools and products may be purchased here at Wimmer’s Sew and Vac. In this class you will learn how to construct a lemoyne star variation which will feature three diamond color strips and two background strips. Quilting students should already be very familiar with the construction of a Studio 180 Design Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star unit taught on September 11, 2021 at Wimmer’s Sew & Vac in Layton, UT. We will be constructing an 8 1/2” unfinished size block. Block difficulty is 5 star out of a 5 star rating. While choosing your diamond fabric color choices, think of Inner, middle, and outer contrast. Please bring the following fabric strips cut and ready to sew at the start of class: Outer and Middle strips one each of 1 1/16” (1”+) WOF Inner Strip one at 1 3/8” WOF (please note that this strip is wider than the outer and the middle strips. Background Strips (One or Two) 3 3/4” WOF Bring your Studio 180 Design Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star Tool and instruction sheet. Sharp or brand new rotary cutter blade Please bring your accompanying quilting/sewing tools that you would normally use in any of your other sewing/quilting classes. Please note that this class has a 5 Star difficulty level. You must be familiar with the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool.
