Studio 180 Design November 13, 2021 Strip Pieced Lemoyne Star Class & Starburst
On Saturday, November 13, 2021 Wimmer’s Sew & Vac will host a Studio 180 Design class which will feature the Strip Pieced Lemoyne Stars technique sheet and the Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star tool from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. These accompanying Studio 180 Design class tools and products may be purchased here at Wimmer’s Sew and Vac. In this class you will learn how to construct a diamond pieced strip-star which will add interest and beauty to your quilt projects while using contrasting color fabric strips of your liking. Quilting students should already be very familiar with the construction of a Studio 180 Design Rapid Fire Lemoyne Star unit taught on September 11, 2021 at Wimmer’s Sew & Vac in Layton, UT. We will be constructing an 8 1/2” unfinished size block. Block difficulty is 4 star out of a 5 star rating. Please come to class with your fabric preparation all ready cut by using the following instructions (this will insure we are ready to sew right at the beginning of class). THE STRIPS (minimum strip length is 18”) Please bring a two strips of 1 3/8” fabric in contrasting colors (example: light purple and dark purple) Label these strips #1 & #4 Please bring two strips of 1 5/8” fabric in contrasting colors (example: light green and dark green) Label these strips #2 & #3 You should now have FOUR different fabric strip colors labeled from #1 to #4 Please bring two background fabric strips 3 3/4” (minimum strip length is 18”) Label these “A” and “B”
Please bring your accompanying quilting/sewing tools that you would normally use in any of your other sewing/quilting classes.
